چکیده

Residential ubiquitous computing environments have focused on interconnecting environmental controls using a home network and the management of sensor data rather than a context-aware inference. Building upon previous research, this paper proposes a novel sensor-based context-aware system with a focus on three inference processes: rule, inference and pattern driven. Using pattern data derived from five families for a working week and establishing rules and inferences, the proposed context-aware system is demonstrated using electrical lighting as an example. The processes to develop an intelligent house are described so as to ameliorate personalized services in response to inhabitants’

An ontology for context-aware pervasive computing environments

This document describes COBRA-ONT an ontology for supporting pervasive context-aware systems. COBRA-ONT, expressed in the Web Ontology Language OWL, is a collection of ontologies for describing places, agents, events and their associated properties in an intelligent meeting room domain. This ontology is developed as a part of the Context Broker Architecture (CoBrA), a broker-centric agent archi...

A semantic-aware role-based access control model for pervasive computing environments

Access control in open and dynamic Pervasive Computing Environments (PCEs) is a very complex mechanism and encompasses various new requirements. In fact, in such environments, context information should be used in access control decision process; however, it is not applicable to gather all context information completely and accurately all the time. Thus, a suitable access control model for PCEs...

U-learning Scenarios within Context Aware Ubiquitous Learning Environments

The combination of context-aware, pervasive and ubiquitous computing provides for environments that are able to adapt to user‘s identity, preferences, location, time etc. Lifelong and life-wide learning supported by these technologies are highly personalized and adaptive, supplying the user with the suitable learning content, at an appropriate place, and at the right time. In this paper we appr...

A uWDL Handler for Context-Aware Workflow Services in Ubiquitous Computing Environments

To develop context-aware workflow services in ubiquitous computing environments, a service developer must describe and recognize context information as transition constraints. uWDL (ubiquitous Workflow Description Language)[1] is a workflow language that describes the situation information of ubiquitous environments as a rule-based service transition condition. In this paper, we suggest a uWDL ...

CAMAC: a context-aware mandatory access control model

Mandatory access control models have traditionally been employed as a robust security mechanism in multilevel security environments such as military domains. In traditional mandatory models, the security classes associated with entities are context-insensitive. However, context-sensitivity of security classes and flexibility of access control mechanisms may be required especially in pervasive c...
